It’s time to throw out the fad diets and say goodbye to calorie counting!

If you’re tired of trying the newest diets over and over again only to gain all the weight back… I’ve got news for you!

There is a different approach to eating and wellness that focuses on your thoughts about and relationship to food so that you can build sustainable healthy habits that help you lose weight and keep it off for good.

I want to help you find food-freedom while meeting your wellness goals in a way that fits into your busy life.

Hi Friend,

I’m Andrea, an anti-diet nutrition coach who helps busy moms get off the diet roller coaster so they can achieve lasting weight loss.

As a weight management dietician for over 25 years, I’ve seen just how destructive the weight loss industry can be, especially for women and moms.

Just four years into my career as a dietitian, I realized the nutrition field fails many of its clients, and I was part of that failure.

It was 2004, and I was working as a consultant at a gym when a woman in her 40s came to me wanting to lose weight. I talked to her about a sensible meal plan. She looked at me in utter disbelief and frustratingly replied, “This is NOT going to work!”

I knew right then and there, she was a victim of diet culture, which had convinced her that the next gimmick was the only way to lose weight. She had tried many diets over the years, experiencing weight loss which was quickly gained back after she stopped her restrictive diet. I knew then that I wanted to help victims of diet culture by creating a better path toward wellness.

After working with countless clients, I discovered the missing pieces that nutrition professionals are not taught in school.

Addressing mindset, self-esteem, self-sabotage, and emotional eating while utilizing neuroplasticity research and teaching mindful eating are some of the keys to lasting weight loss and improved health!

That’s why I incorporate the mindset and mindfulness piece in my coaching program so that women can achieve lasting results—instead of constantly yo-yo dieting.

I am here to report that you CAN change your relationship with food without restrictive diets, without struggling, without feeling like it’s never enough!

My goal is to create a non-judgmental, supportive, and empowering environment where you can get the support you need in changing your relationship with food so that you can build healthy habits that last a lifetime.

One of the most rewarding parts of this work is seeing my clients transform in more ways than one. While people come to me to lose weight, the change in their mindset and outlook can lead to other positive changes like finally having the confidence to do that big scary thing they’ve been wanting to do or changing careers to something that makes them happier.

I can’t wait to see the transformations and breakthroughs you have as we go through this journey together!

About Me

I’m the best parallel parker EVER. I’ve actually been known to switch seats with the driver so I can squeeze into those tiny city parking spots for them!

Nature is my medicine. My vacations are always adventurous with some outdoor activities thrown in there.

I love herbal tea, and my favorite vegetable is cauliflower. (Yes, I eat it plain… but I won’t make you do it too!)

I love opening the fridge, freezer, or pantry to make a delicious meal out of the random things I find.

After decades of working in nutrition, I’m speaking out against the Diet Culture on my podcast, Anti Diet Revolution.

What people are saying…

“I just wanted to reach out and say thank you so much for putting out the Healthy eating mindset series. I finally finished all of it 2 weeks ago and am consulting my journal to reinforce the things I learned and I'm putting them into practice. I have to say I'm much less stressed and anxious about eating and how I approach food. I have always struggled with my eating habits since I was in Middle School and this has helped me look at them differently..”

“Every so often I come across something or someone that I feel can be helpful to many of you in your weight loss and health gain journeys. With that in mind, I want to introduce you to a colleague and friend of mine—Andrea Heyman. She is a registered dietitian who has taken a special interest in the issue of emotional (stress) eating. This program focuses on reframing how you approach food; identifying blocks preventing you from meeting your wellness goals in a small group setting.”
